"Hi Steve: Thank you! Hip Service was the perfect ending to our banquet and three day meeting! Your music was fantastic--your musicians and singers were fantastic! The music was excellent, the band was entertaining and gave so much energy to our crowd. I have never seen our people, or any other group, enjoy a band so much and react with that much enthusiasm. They obviously didn't want you to stop. I hope the members of Hip Service could see and feel that. My favorites: you coming down into the crowd playing your guitar and "What a Wonderful World." I would be happy to give you references, in terms of the music and performance, as well as the professionalism in working with you to plan our event. Steve, Well, here we are...almost four weeks after our daughter's wedding reception, and people are still calling me about "That Band'! Comments include,"Best band ever!", "I never had so much fun dancing in my life", "Will they come here?", and "I could listen to them all night!" Even the wedding coordinator told me that everyone working the reception was dancing in the kitchen! Hip Service is an absolutely amazing and professional band. From the wonderfully talented and classy vocalists to the sax solo, you had us mesmerized. I want to thank you for making Cortney and Bryan's wedding reception an event to truly remember. Dear Steve, Not only were our guests, committee and our management thrilled with your performance for us at our 2005 Spring Gala “Deco and Diamonds”, they were doubly thrilled again, this year!!! It was made very apparent to me that Hip Service “must” appear again! So, May 6, 2006 was another fabulous evening for Easter Seals! As your dancers waited and posed by the dramatic entrance to the ballroom it was made very easy for our guests to feel invited in as the great dance music started to rock the house! It is amazing what a difference one year can make. We had more people dance this year and a great many more people in the room and they stayed til the end of the evening – very unusual for our group. It had to be because of your fantastic vocals, dancers and, specifically, the whole experience! It has been a joy to work with and get to know you, Steve. were looking for a band that could play real funk music (not the fluffy
fake stuff) and get everyone out on the dance floor going crazy. Hip
Service had the whole crowd hooked from the first song. They exceeded
even our incredibly high expectations. We are passionate music fans and
we go to a lot of weddings all over the country - but I have never heard
anything like this before. At the end of their last set all of our 150+
guests crowded the floor to chant "One more song!! One more
song!!"...have you ever heard of that at a wedding? Not to mention
that they were kind enough to indulge us. If you want to throw a

for the ceremony to learning a new song for our first dance, you did what you

May 23, 2005 — Hip Service announces that it has signed a promotional deal with Clear Channel to promote its debut CD, “Uncovered.” As part of the agreement, Clear Channel, in association with its Sacramento-based affiliate, KHYL-FM, V101.1, will be showcasing the band with commercial spots, on-air artist interviews, remote giveaways, and airplay. Hip Service's debut CD is scheduled to be released July 7, 2005 at record stores and online. July 17, 2004, Modesto, CA — Hip Service is featured at the Modesto Xclamation Festival in the “World’s Largest Outdoor Disco” spanning four whole city blocks of pure dance energy! Performing on the Mega 100 stage, Hip Service plays to 15,000 in attendance, opening for the Dazz Band and Rose Royce. May 29, 2004, Vacaville, CA – HIP SERVICE to headline for their 4th consecutive year at the “Northern California Rhythm & Brews Festival” at Travis Credit Union Stadium. May 5, 2004, Antioch, CA – HIP SERVICE is going in the studio recording basic tracks for their first CD of original music. Under guidance of produce Jeff Tamelier (Tower of Power, Jefferson starship, Cold Blood), the band is recording a collection of hip grooves reminiscent of old school groups like EWF, TOP, Sly & The Family Stone, and Parliament. Throw in a bit modern Jamiroquai funk and Lenny Kravitz attitude, and you have the making of the new HIP Collective funk.
